Training Programme

Each CONTEXT fellow will participate in the following personalised and network-wide training events, earning a total of 30 ECTS: 

Local Training (continuous - 3 years)

Fellows will integrate within local research teams, both in their home university and in their placement, and receive individualised training seminars throughout the course of their degree. In the belowe example, Fellow1 will train in Trinity College Dublin for 13 months before receiving additional training in Spirasi (4 months) and the Danish Red Cross, as part of their research placement. 

INDUCTION TRAINING (IRELAND - MARCH 2017)

The induction programme marks the start of the fellows' training. It is delivered as a single-week, intensive module, worth 5 ECTS credits. During Induction Week, fellows will receive training in Research Programme Management, Research Ethics, Gender and Cultural Sensitivities in Trauma Research, Child-Protection and Secondary Trauma Prevention. 5 ECTS

Core & transferable Skills Training (Ireland - MARCH 2017)

Together, all 12 fellows will receive training in: Interview Skills, Realist and Action Research, Implementation Research, Case-Study Approaches, Social Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking to Ideate, Developing and Testing Solutions for Society's Challenges, Multidisciplinary Teamwork. 8 ECTS

CORE & TRANSFERABLE SKILLS TRAINING (Denmark - May 2017)

Together, all 12 fellows will receive training in: Theoretical Underpinnings of Psychotraumatology Research, Diagnosis and the Psychological Impact of Trauma, Risk Factors & Interventions in Trauma, Media & Advocacy, From Findings to Practice, Academic Writing and Dissemination, Poster and Conference Presentation. 8 ECTS

Poster Presentation during ESTSS Conference (June 2017) - 1 ECTS

CORE & TRANSFERABLE SKILLS TRAINING (Uk - july 2018)

Together, all 12 fellows will receive training in: Advanced Quantitative Methods (Structural and Multilevel Modeling), Managing Large Datasets, Working Collaboratively in Teaching & Learning (T&L), Using Technology to Enhance and Support T&L, Engaging in Professional Communication in Academia, Developing a Critically Reflective Practitioner. 8 ECTS
